All too often, we see the continued growth and prosperity of our city provide opportunities for investors and businesses while leaving the average citizen behind. Growth is good, business expansion is good, but we need to recognize that valuing the everyday, working people and families brings just as much prosperity as development.
I will focus on several priorities for the citizens of District 3 and the entire City of Greenville:
Develop a local government that is more responsive to the needs of all citizens (more here)
Provide programs for the marginalized citizens of our city (more here)
Provide expanded public transportation by adding routes and combining services of the major public transit providers in the region (more here)
Increase investment in bikelanes, sidewalks, and greenways throughout the city (more here)
Encourage the inclusion of affordable housing units in new and existing development projects
Improve retention in emergency services (more here)
Increase police oversight and transparency through a Civil Review Board (more here)
Mandate the inclusion of green and sustainable technologies in public and private development projects (more here)
Continue to build an inclusive community that rejects hatred and fear and accepts everyone (more here)
Continue coalition building throughout the city through neighborhood boards, community groups, and outreach organizations (more here)
When we come together as a community, we can solve the problems facing this city and its residents.
It starts with you. Talk to you friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers. Spread our message and get involved. Donate to support our campaign. And most importantly - VOTE!
